AMU PREP'DAYS 2024 edition: Conferences to prepare for coming to France!

Aix-Marseille Université is relaunching the third edition of AMU Prep' Days, a series of online conferences designed to help international students prepare for their arrival in France!
Throughout the month of June, international students will be able to get started on the administrative formalities, meet the Accueil team who will support them throughout their stay, and talk to partners who will be on hand especially for the occasion.

Colloquium - "Thinking, defining, classifying revolts". Production and circulation of knowledge on repressed revolts in the 20th century (May 2-3, 2024)

This symposium is supported by the Institut Sociétés en Mutation en Méditerranée (SoMuM), as part of SoMuM's Call for Projects 2024 - Support for scientific events.

It invites us to consider the development of knowledge about the revolts against which the governing authorities deployed armed troops throughout the 19th century. It focuses on the use and influence of the knowledge produced on the revolt in the political and social re-ordering of the movement, and on the place of these events in the disciplinary corpus concerned. It also looks at the knowledge developed within the revolting populations.

Displaying the Nutri-Score in advertisements would lead to healthier food choices

For the first time, a study by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers from Aix-Marseille Université and Sorbonne Paris Nord University, including specialists in the fields of communication, nutrition, epidemiology and public health, has shown that displaying the Nutri-Score on food products in advertisements would lead consumers to choose healthier foods. This work was published on April 16 in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity.

U7+ 2024 Presidential Summit

Members of U7+, the international alliance of universities of which Aix-Marseille Université is a member, gathered at Bocconi University for their annual summit. On this occasion, representatives of member universities drafted a declaration urging G7 leaders to work together to remove barriers and improve access to education worldwide.

AMU is awarded the third star of the Bienvenue en France label!

Already awarded 2 stars in the Bienvenue en France label in 2019 for the quality of its welcome services for international students, Aix-Marseille Université stood out for the richness of its renewal file and was awarded the third star by the Campus France label commission in March 2024. While the International Relations Department, which submitted the application, can be proud of this excellent result, it is the work of the entire AMU team that has been rewarded.

A look back at "GIG Days", with support from Aix-Marseille Université's TIGER project!

The second edition of "GIG Days" took place on March 25-26-27, still led by the GIG (Geometry and Computer Graphics) course of the "Computer Science" master's degree (UFR Sciences). Following the success of the first edition, which took place in June 2023, these days were once again funded by the TIGER project (Transform and Innovate in Graduate Education with Research), winner of the France 2030 investment program.
